One Day Monsoon Trek Bhorgiri To Bhimashankar, pimple saudagar
Bhorgiri is one of the most scenic forts in Maharashtra. It is located near Bhimanshankar and is one of the less popular forts. Bhorgiri Trek is ideal for trekkers who want an easy level trek and also want to be away from the crowd.
Don’t be mistaken by the size of the fort. It is still a visually rewarding trek. Enroute, one can see the majestic valleys of Sahyadri mountains and the backwaters of a few dams and the views from the top are just spectacular.
Everyone knows about Bhimashankar. It is one of the 12 Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva. Bhima river originates at this point. This temple is surrounded by “Bhimashankar Wildlife Sanctuary”.
About Bhorgiri to Bhimashankar
Bhorgiri village is a very small village. There are hills on the three side of the village. And one of the hills has Bhorgiri fort and caves. Bhorgiri to Bhimashankar trek route is through dense jungle and provides many opportunities for nature lovers and particularly Photographers!!! One can see the state animal of Maharashtra the Giant Squirrel, in a local language known as “Shekru.” In Monsoon Bhorgiri to Bhimashankar trek is the perfect trek for Beginners, Nature Lovers, and Photographers. It’s a plain Jungle walk of around 3 Hours which ends at “Gupta Bhimashankar”. One has to pass the Streams & waterfall to reach the Bhimashankar Temple.
