In front of Ganesham Society Rabbit and Tortoise school van suddenly started burning. Corporator Shatrughna Kate immediately reached there with fire brigade and RTO official. Now things are under control and issue resolved successfully without any loss. All kids are safe and no one is hurt in this incidence.
Cemetery completion work in Pimple Sauadagar

Filling up of Potholes on Kunal Icon Road

Shivar chowk to ICICI Bank road was in its worst condition with potholes on whole road .Mr Nana Kate took a regular follow up on this issue with the concerned Department to rectify this issue. As a result, the work of tarring the road and filling up of potholes started.

On the occasion of Birthday of Former Deputy Chief Minister Ajitdada Pawar, Tree Plantation in entire Pimple Saudagar has been started by the hands of NCP Leader Nana Kate. Some of the societies where Tree Plantation has been done in Pimple Saudagar are Vasant Avenue, The Crest, Sai Sahab Society, Sai Heritage, ShivSai Vishwa, Rose Icon etc.Also Tree Plantation has been done on Shiv Sai Lane, Kunal Icon Road, and BRT Road.Chairman and Secretaries of some of Societies were present.
Replacement of Damaged Storm Water Covers

Ganesh Park’s long pending storm water issue is finally resolved by Corporator Shatrughna Kate. Also he inspected all the areas of Pimple Saudagar with D ward chief executive Ombhase saheb and Drainage Dept.official and instructed the Civil official to replace all the damaged storm water covers as soon as possible.

Repair of Road In front of Jarvari Society

The road in front of Jarvari society was damaged so badly that it was really difficult to commute for the residents and also for the children to walk from there. So immediate action was instructed by Mr. Nana Kate to the respective department officers.The same has been asked to repair with sand, soil, crush. Today Corporator Shatrughna Kate & D Ward chief executive Ombase Sir with Civil official inspected the Road infront of Jarvari society & this road work will be started soon & constructed with BBM method .
MNGL Launch in Sai Highness Society

Thank you for your support We collected around 5000 kgs of material as part of GOONJ camp–http://pimplesaudagar.in/event/goonj/ First lot will be shipped to Mumbai tomorrow. Our urban TRASH will give clothing to someone , provide protection from winter and avoid deaths due to extreme cold, bring more rural kids to school, build roads, wells, bridges in remote corners of India and trigger many more such diverse rural development works. The recently repaired drainage pipeline at Kunal icon road is causing major problems for commuters. After Corporator shatrughna Kate’s regular follow up, road work from Shivar Chowk to Kunal Icon Road is temporily repaired for better transportation from today. He also said, “ Within a few days, after the construction of Pipleline, the road should be convienient to use.”

Translate this to English for my non-maharashtrian buddies, it says “Rain Rain pls come down, I will give you money, it Rains Cats and Dogs and Lord Indra gets fake money. Now pulling pranks on Rain God should not be anyone’s dream as he is certainly the “Numero Uno” deity prayed during Water crisis. However, in recent years Lord Indra seems to sing back to us it this way: Yere Yere Pausa – Tula Deto Paisa – Paus Ala Chota ani Tras Zhala Motha (meaning: Rain Rain pls come down, i will give you money, rains come in ultra small quota and this creates a big trouble life for us all). Winners of Ganesha Photo Contest 2018—Leon Orbit Society Pimple Saudagar

In the recently concluded Ganesha Photo / Décor Contest 2018 at PimpleSaudagar.in, submission by Leon Orbit Society was declared as the Best Thematic Ganesha Decor for this year. Leon Orbit decor depicts a Fair (Mela) called Leon -A’Fair. Residents have come together and have made working models of rides that are found in a fair / amusement park. All the items are eco-friendly including Bappa’s idol. Message that they are trying pass on is the Life is like a Fun Fair and should be enjoyed that way. There will be highs and lows, joys and sorrows and nothing is permanent. The video of entire set up is uploaded on YouTube at this link-

GOONJ – Daan Utsav gets overwhelming response

Every year in India, people from all walks of life celebrate a unique festival of Giving called Daan Utsav (earlier called Joy of Giving Week) from 2nd to 8th October. This year Goonj (www.goonj.org) made a bugle call of ‘Dil Ki Suno Kuch Karo’ to people across the country. ‘100,000 Acts of Giving’ – This annual camp aims at collecting all of the used and unused items, cotton, toys, electronics and household items which many times linger in our attics and home corners without being put to use. These same things can and does change lives of many whom Goonj network of selfless volunteers take these items too. As this year’s DAAN UTSAV gained momentum, residents from many societies came out in full force as they poured out their unused/used belongings and this was actively co-ordinated by Goonj volunteers as they amassed large collection from many camps across the city. The JOY of GIVING was quite apparent on the faces of people and kids who contributed towards the collection. Checkout some of the collections, volunteers at work and the happy faces.
